February 19, 26 & March 5 at St. Paul’s (21 Hackett Blvd.)
March 12, 19 & 26 at St. Andrew’s (10 N. Main Ave.)
This year, our friends from Saint Andrew’s Albany will join us for Stations of the Cross at St. Paul’s for the first three Thursdays of Lent. The final three Thursdays will be hosted at St. Andrew’s (10 N. Main Ave, Albany). Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch to enjoy fellowship following.
The Stations of the Cross, also known as the Way of the Cross, consist of fourteen images illustrating Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion, alongside prayers. This practice echoes the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, a customary procession that runs from the Lions’ Gate to Mount Calvary. The stations are intended to lead Christians on a spiritual journey, inviting reflection on the Passion of Christ.
At St. Paul’s, the walls of our church display images of the 14 traditional stations, offering a sacred pathway for prayer and meditation.
