Fr. John Scott

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. Col. 3:16

When I was growing up, as August moved on towards September, my Mother would wistfully say “Oh look, the Queen Ann’s Lace is out, summer is almost over.” Well the Queen Ann’s Lace has been out for sometime now and Fall will soon be upon us. That means getting back into the swing of things here at St. Paul’s. Hope that you had some wonderful summertime adventures!

We will officially start our Fall program with Homecoming Sunday on September 19th. This means going back to our regular Sunday service times; the early service continues at 8 AM but the later service moves back to 10:30 AM. We will joyfully welcome the Choir back after their COVID hiatus! We also plan to cautiously resume a limited Coffee Hour. Due to the Delta variant of COVID we will continue to wear masks in Church and to keep social distance for the time being. These precautions are something we continue to do out of love and concern for each other. We will continue to livestream our 10:30 AM service.

On Wednesday, September 15, the 12:10 PM weekday Holy Eucharist will also be restarting. This Fall we hope to get back to a more normal rhythm of parish life at St. Paul’s. The Queen Ann’s Lace may signal the passing of summer, but there are many good things ahead. I look forward to being together with you all.

In Christ,

Fr. John Scott +
